Default Pet experience affected by party size?

Is pet experience affected by party size? If it is then I'll keep plugging away at a workable solo training build, but if it isn't I could go out with a party and kill the same mobs much faster. I don't care about drops in this situation.

no, pets are "allies" and not "party members" as such therefore do not share experience, drops or gold and are not affected by experience scrolls or blessings.

Sharing wasn't in question here.

they do share xp actually as i have trained 4 dire pets and have experimented with the scrolls and now use an adventures scroll to level them up quicker.
